Design of Concrete Structures to Eurocode 2 - The Essentials
This one day training course will help delegates in recognising the principle differences between Eurocode 2 and BS8110 and equip them with the skills required to undertake the design of basic reinforced concrete structures to Eurocode 2. Emphasis is placed on buildings and the provisions of the Part 1.1: General rules and rules for buildings of EN 1992.
The programme provides useful background to the structural behaviour and explanation of the codified treatment including departure from existing practice (BS 8110) for each of the principal aspects covered. Wherever required illustrations with worked examples are also provided.

This training course is ideal for:
Experienced civil and structural engineers who design or supervise the design of reinforced concrete structures
*It is assumed that aspirants of this course will be competent with design to current British Standards and are looking for transition training covering the key changes between the BS codes and Eurocodes.

Successful course participation will enable delegates to:
- Undertake the design of basic reinforced concrete structures to Eurocode 2
- Understand the principle differences between Eurocode 2 and BS8110
- Develop an appreciation for the Eurocode suite and its impact on UK design practice
