Safeguarding Children Training
This online Safeguarding Children Training course is designed for anybody who comes into frequent contact with children at work. Covering both levels 1 & 2 and also covering standard 11 of the Care Certificate, this eLearning course helps users to understand the different types of abuse, how to identify abuse, and how to properly report concerns.
Sadly, at least one child dies each week in the UK from abuse or neglect.
This CPD Accredited course takes approximately an hour to complete and provides the user with a printable certificate upon completion.

Safeguarding Children Training Certificate
This Safeguarding Children Training course concludes with a 20 question multiple choice test with a printable certificate. Your certificate will include; any approvals or accreditations the course has, your name, your mark, the date you received the certificate and the date of expiry.

Training Course Content
This training course is broken down into 5 sections
Section 1: Safeguarding Responsibilities
The first section provides you with an understanding of what you, your colleagues, your organisation and DSL (Designated Safeguarding Lead) are responsible for. As well as the relevant legislation, policies, procedures and children's rights.
Section 2: Recognising Abuse in Children
Section 2 will cover the signs of abuse in children and the most common types of abuse for you to look out for.
Section 3: Responding to Abuse
This section will educate you on what to do if a child comes to you about abuse or neglect and how you should respond.
Section 4: Recording Observations
Section 4 looks at how you should start recording observations if you have safeguarding concerns - each organisation's process will differ.
Section 5: Reporting Concerns
The final section will look at why it is important to report your concerns and what people and agencies may need to be involved.
