Professional Certificate/Diploma in Traffic Signal Control
This annual residential course is for managers, engineers and technicians involved in the management, design or implementation of traffic control systems. The course is organised by IHE in conjunction with major UK industry players, the course complements the JCT Consultancy training programme. The four days are structured around the Design Manuals for Roads and Bridges and the Code of Practice for the Management of Electronic Traffic Equipment. Part 1 focuses on pedestrian crossings with an introduction to traffic signal junction design. Part 2 examines the concept and detail design of traffic signals. Part 1 of the course is recommended to Road Safety Auditors, Development Management Officers and anybody involved in General Traffic Management. IHE Professional Certificate in Traffic Signal Control The course is linked to the IHE Professional Certificate in Traffic Signal Control allowing delegates to test and demonstrate their knowledge skills and competence with support and guidance from leading practitioners. Successful completion of parts 1 & 2 will contribute towards the certificate.
