Professional Certificate/Diploma in Traffic Signing and Road Markings
This 4-day course provides both a theoretical foundation and practical experience in the design and implementation of traffic signing and road marking schemes. It contains an introduction to the subject, but takes the concepts through to experienced practitioner level. The introduction will be useful as a refresher for those with some signing experience, and the course is thus suitable for both those new to the concepts and for those for whom knowledge of signs and markings forms part of a wider remit, such as senior highway engineers, traffic engineers and all those involved in managing highways and their infrastructure. It also provides a thorough background for anyone involved in the civil or criminal enforcement of parking or moving traffic offences including the police and prosecution authorities. The course covers road traffic sign design and road markings from both a legal and practical perspective, including theory, principles and best practice. It provides hands-on experience of many practical examples. This facilitates discussion between participants and ensures that they have achieved a full understanding of each topic area. This course leads to a Professional Certificate or Diploma in Traffic Sign Design and Road Markings. Book early to avoid disappointment as places are limited.
