Course description
The Business English Evening Course, run at the Islington Centre for English (ICE), London is aimed at current employees who would like to improve their business language skills, students hoping to enter the business world in the future and any anyone looking to sharpen their business vocabulary ready for a specific trip to an English speaking country.
Our tutors for this course are specialist English business tutors and all are native English speakers. They are all University graduates, CELTA (or equivalent) qualified and additionally CERT ibet (Specific Business English qualification) qualified. You will need to be Upper Intermediate (B2) level and above to join this course and is suitable for those students who may wish to take the BEC Higher exam.
This course is held in small class sizes of up to 12 students for maximum, focused time with the tutor. It runs on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6.30-8.30pm at our welcoming Central London school, conveniently situated opposite the Angel Islington Tube Station.
Throughout the course students will practice Reading, Writing, Speaking & Listening in a wide variety of simulated business situations. For example- presentations, meetings, phone conversations, negotiations, interviews and networking.
Students will also increase their UK & US cultural awareness by developing their understanding of cross-cultural business environments. This course will give you the confidence and English skills you need for any situation you may face in the business world.
