Course description

Career Development Professional – Level 6 Apprenticeship

Career Development Professional – Level 6 Apprenticeship

Career development professionals empower the people they work with to develop long and short-term career strategies.

They can have an immediate and long-lasting impact on the lives of clients as they motivate and inspire them to reach their career goals.

They help people embark on career transitions including from learning to work, returning to the labour market, returning to learning, sector/organisation/management change, redundancy and pre-retirement choices.

This apprenticeship allows you to develop your understanding of opportunities in education and the labour market and provide effective career guidance. You will also discover methods of designing and planning career-related learning, and reflect on your own practice to identify development needs.
