Course description
This is a wonderfully broad and varied 1 year course which will allow you the chance to experience a wide range of Art & Design principles and techniques, from drawing and painting to design concepts and photography. This course is very practical and will help you to develop and unlock your creative potential and hone your practical and design skills. You will be fully tained on the specialist equipment and software with the help of a dedicated technician. A wide range of units will be delivered and may include: building an art and design portfolio, graphic design briefs,communicating ideas in 3D, painting briefs, art, craft and design in the creative industries, recording for creative intentions in art and design.

Suitability - Who should attend?
A minimum of 4 GCSE's at grades 3 or above or a pass at BTEC Level 1 Diploma or NVQ Level1 Diploma or VRQ level 1, including English and maths gcse, or an equivalent qualification unless stated otherwise
