Course description
BTEC Level 2 First Extended Certificate in Health and Social Care:
This course has four core units covering communication, rights, needs and safe environments. You can then specialise in units selected to suit local needs such as diet, anatomy and physiologycultural diversity, creative and therapeutic and human life span development. You will do work experience in a nursery, residential care home or day centre (1 day a week with a minimum of 60 hours. These hours area mandatory part of the course.

Suitability - Who should attend?
Students must have a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grades 3(or above) or a pass at BTEC Level 1 Diploma or NVQ level 1 Diploma including english and maths or equivalents .
