John Ruskin College Apprenticeships
At John Ruskin College we are very experienced in successfully delivering vocational qualifications and offer an exciting variety of full time vocational courses at a wide range of levels, including the following subject areas: Art and Design, Beauty and Spa, Business, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Hairdressing, Health, Care and Early Years, Photography, as well as Sport and Science. Alongside your chosen vocational course, you will also engage in valuable work experience related to your qualification.
We also work with a wide range of employers and are therefore able to offer Apprenticeships in many areas.

Our first-class teaching staff have excellent subject knowledge and substantial industry experience. They will support you to gain the skills you need – whether you are considering university, employment or an Apprenticeship. Last academic year, we achieved 100% pass rate on our Level 3 vocational courses with 70% achieving high grades. Progression rates are high, with 94% of students having successfully progressed to university, employment or an Apprenticeship in Summer 2018.
Of course College is not just about studying, you will have the opportunity through our well established Enrichment programme to gain skills, pursue new interests and have fun. We offer a wide range of sporting activities such as basketball, football, cricket, table tennis, volleyball, rugby and beach rugby. There are also numerous clubs and societies you can get involved in, as well as becoming a student ambassador and a member of the Student Partnership Council.
Awards & Accreditations
John Ruskin College has been accredited with several awards over the last few years; the full Matrix National quality kitemark as well as the Quality in Careers standard, both relating to its excellent advice and guidance. More recently at the National Centre for Diversity Grand Awards, the College was placed among the top 100 organisations that the National Centre of Diversity works with, at the prestigious position of number 4. The College is also among the top 25% in the country for value- added.
