Bookbinding: If you are interested in the upcycling of books this Bookbinding course will teach you how to make: , a single section pamphlet binding incorporating a cloth spine, , use coloured endpapers and marble board papers,, how to sew multi section bindings including a flat back and round back case bindings,, and how to trim a sewn book block using the binderies electric guillotine, , You will also in the preparation of the round back case binding learn how to back a book block in a traditional lay press. The production of a quarter leather binding with five raised bands introduces you to leather paring, learning how to sew silk headbands and to produce a label for the spine.
