Chinese Brush Painting

Chinese Brush Painting: The course will introduce the traditional materials and techniques of Chinese Brush Painting in the Spontaneous style. It will include the use of Chinese calligraphy and seals to complete a painting, where appropriate. More experienced students will learn to develop their work. Please note that Chinese painting materials contain animal glue and the brushes are made from animal hair. The 5 sessions of this course will take place on: 19/1, 2/2, 9/2, 2/3,16/3 and 30/3., , By the end of the course, you should be able to:, ò Be aware of and work to relevant Health and Safety guidelines , ò Demonstrate and understand relevant techniques., ò Demonstrate successful use of relevant tools, equipment and resources., ò Successfully review and evaluate your own work., ò Research and evaluate the work of others to inform your own work and development, , There is no set æhomeworkÆ, but you are welcome to practise and do further work at home., There is no qualification for this course., , , There is limited parking on site, but there is a public car park nearby and on-street parking. For beginners and for those who have previous experience of the subject, including those who have studied with this tutor before.
