Suitability - Who should attend?
It is essential that you are working in a paid or voluntary position in a primary, secondary or special educational setting for the duration of the course for a minimum of one day a week with access to children. The placement needs to be organised by the student before a place can be offered on the course., , Students need to have an enhanced DBS (previously CRB) check. Students should initially contact their placement school to discuss local DBS arrangements. Please note that this may incur an additional cost that is not included in the advertised course fee., , This is a Level 3 qualification equating to æAÆ level standard and so assignments and, therefore, coursework will require this level of competence. You should be able to follow spoken and written instructions, read handouts/exercises and take part in group discussions., , A pre-course assessment of literacy and numeracy skills is held before enrolment to confirm that the course is suitable for you.
