Course description
The course is the equivalent of three A Levels. You will develop practical skills and a theoretical understanding of the world of business. You will look in depth at finance, marketing, human resource management and e-business and will have opportunities to devise your own business plans and run your own business activities and events.
You will develop practical skills and theoretical understanding of the world of business and complete projects investigating topics such as marketing, financial analysis, website design and retail strategies. By the time you have completed the course you will have a good knowledge of the wide world of business and a practical skill set that will prepare you for the next stage in your business career.
During the course you will develop your group work, IT and presentation skills. The units you will study include elements of accounting, marketing, human resource management and website design. You will have a personal tutor who supports and guides you through the course. You will meet with your personal tutor for group meetings and for personal one to one meetings on a regular basis.

Suitability - Who should attend?
The successful completion of a BTEC Level 390 Credit Diploma and you will already hold at least four GCSEs at minimum grade C/4 including English and Mathematics, or Level 2 Diploma in Business with Merit grade plus GCSE grade C/4 in English and Mathematics and a satisfactory reference from your last school or college is required.
