Course description
This course is offered in conjunction with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the Certificate in Human Resource Practice (CHRP) is a foundation level qualification (equivalent to NVQ/SVQ Level 3). On successful completion of CHRP, you will also gain Associate Membership of the CIPD. This course is eligible for the Advanced Learner Loan. To achieve the Certificate in HR Practice, learners need to achieve a minimum of 28 credits, comprising 10 credits from the core units and 18 credits from the specialised units. For the full Diploma, an additional nine credits are required. Some students may wish to gain the Foundation (Level 3) Diploma in Human Resource Practice (37 credits in total) - a broader qualification with nine further credits. The progression route extends to the Intermediate (Level 5) Certificate in Human Resource Management and finally onto the Advanced (Level 7) Post Graduate Certificate or Diploma in Human Resource Management. Both Foundation Diploma and Intermediate qualifications are delivered at Kingston College. Fast track option is also available .
Suitability - Who should attend?
There are no specific entry requirements but personal qualities such as motivation and commitment are very important. ICT skills are also very useful. Experience of working in an office environment is required. At course induction, there will be a diagnostic test to determine entry levels for literacy.
