Course description
Apprenticeships are flexible and are designed to offer a structured programme of learning to fit around the needs of the individual and the employer.
Learning takes place mainly during employment through the development of ‘on the job’ skills, supported by your College tuition which will take place one day every other week. Both the on and off the job elements of the apprenticeship lead to nationally-recognised qualifications which are awarded by CILEx. CILEX Certificate and Diploma in Law. Level 3 units studied:
- Client Care
- Introduction to Law
- Contract Law
- Civil Litigation
- Legal Research
- Land Law
- Conveyancing
- Tort
- Crime
- Employment Law
- Apprenticeship
A portfolio of evidence from work will be prepared over the first 18 months of the course. This will include drafting legal documents, communication and legal research. Two time assessments in conveyancing will also be met.
Apprentices also study:
- Functional skills
- Personal Learning & Thinking Skills (PLTS)
- Employee Rights & Responsibilities (ERR)

Suitability - Who should attend?
There are no formal entry requirements for this apprenticeship. However many employers will expect a high standard of literacy and numeracy e.g. GCSE grades A*-C, A-levels, or be able to prove ability to work at this level, such as experience gained through employment or voluntary work.

Advanced Apprenticeship at Level 3
