Communicating Effectively

We communicate every day but, how we usually communicate is filled with errors and far too many misunderstandings. An organisation lives by its communication. Person to person, team to team and 360 open and honest communication. Does your organisation manage this? Communication is the foundation of management/leadership - without good and effective communication, all other management tools can fail.
This day is not just about what we say but also about how we say it.
This course from LaPD Solutions is designed to give participants the knowledge of how communication impacts those that we work with. These skills are often taken for granted but they are often one of the first to break down and often the easiest to improve.
Participants will be given food for thought and will take part in discussions to internally analyse how we communicate and then generate action points and forward-thinking solutions.
By the end of this workshop, you will have listed at least 5 key action points for improvement within the organisation, group or team.

Suitability - Who should attend?
This course is open to anyone regardless of experience, age or position in the organisation. If you have people who you want to develop into GREAT communicators capable of getting the best from their people then this is perfect for them as this is what we do.
This day is designed to focus people on their current style of communication, to consider their own style and think about how to improve both their personal communication and organisational communication as well.

- How does Emotional Intelligence (EI) improve our communication with others?
- What do LaPD Solutions mean by "Clean" communication and "Clean" information?
- How can we communicate clearly and effectively if we can't be honest?
- We discuss the Communication Cycle.
- Why is body language so important?
- The 5 Cs of clarity for email/writing.
- What is unconscious bias and how does/could it impact our communication?
- Active Listening. What is it and how can we attain it?
- What do we understand by "Assertiveness', why is it crucial in communication?
- Why is email such a drain these days? What can we do about it?
Course delivery details
We offer both classroom/Face to Face (F2F) and online (Zoom) options.
Our (F2F) option can be facilitated at your organisation or at a venue booked by you for that day.
Our online sessions are facilitated through Zoom. They are converted from a one-day classroom-style event into a series of interactive Zoom sessions totalling 8 online hours.
Each Zoom session can be planned to last 2, 3 or 4 hours (4 is our maximum duration).
All our sessions come with direct post-event support.
