  • Assess the options for the capital structure of a Commercial Real Estate Investment and the potential impact on investment returns.
  • Understand the key elements in conducting due diligence.
  • Negotiate the key elements in a Real Estate Investment and associated financing

  • Financial analysis of Commercial Real Estate Companies and Investment vehicles
  • The financial model and forecasting – single asset investment / financings
  • Use of debt in support of Commercial Real Estate Investments
  • Debt structuring issues

Day 3

  • Risk and return in Commercial Real Estate Finance – the equity investors’ perspective
  • Deal negotiation - Debt structuring issues and risk mitigation techniques; legal due diligence

Day 4

  • Building an investment portfolio
  • Risk analysis - When real estate financings go wrong
  • Final case studies

Day 5

  • End of programme test and assignment
