Course description
The 7-credit Pearson BTEC Level 1 Award provides an introduction to the skills, qualities and knowledge that may be required for employment in a particular vocational sector.
The two modules that you will study are: Health and Social Care Needs: The aim of this unit is to introduce learners to physical and emotional care needs, factors that affect health and the general health and social care available for individuals. Job Opportunities in Health and Social Care: The aim of this unit is for learners to find out about jobs in different sectors of health and social care, the terms and conditions of employment in health and social care, and the qualifications and skills required to work in this sector. Learners will plan how to start work in health and social care. You will receive assessment and feedback from your Assessor, this course has two modules which you will need to pass. You can progress onto other courses such as Health and Social Care Level 2 within the framework.
