Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management
This qualification is ideal for Team Leaders, Supervisors, First-line Managers, Heads of Operations or Departments and those aspiring to senior management roles. You will develop the knowledge and skills that allow you to effectively manage teams, individuals, organisations or departments and they are suitable for anyone working in the private, public or community and voluntary sectors.
The qualification has been developed by the Sector Skills Council for this sector, Skills CFA, and is recognised as the main qualifications for Level 3 and Level 5 in Leadership and Management for the UK.

Suitability - Who should attend?
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, but you must be aged over 18 and either employed or have regular access to a work environment.
We recommend that you have an excellent command of literacy and numeracy before enrolling on these courses to at least Level 2 (GCSE A*-C or 4-9). We can provide support for this through our programme of online and classroom study for English, Maths and ICT.
Qualification Objective
If you are self-funded, sponsored or taking on a payment plan, you will only need to complete a portfolio of evidence and assignments. Once you have passed your assessed units, you will be awarded a Level 5 Diploma in Management & Leadership from <>BIIAB.
If you are studying through our funded apprenticeship pathway, you will need to complete the additional components below:
- 20% of your time spent on off-the-job training
- Complete a unit workbook on employee rights and responsibilities
- Complete a knowledge test
- Structured competency-based interview
- Submit a portfolio of evidence

- Work-based presentation and Q&A session (Level 5 only)
