VTCT Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (for Hair and Beauty)
The VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (QCF) is a qualification for learners seeking a career as teacher/tutor/leader in the hairdressing industry. Working as an employed and/or self-employed hairdresser/stylist, becoming an assessor could be advantageous to the salon you are connected to. Applicants to this course should have successfully completed a Level 3 Hairdressing course/PTTLS. The course will prepare you to enter the specific sector of education and training as a vocational assessor. There are three units: understanding the principles and practices of assessment; assess occupational competence in the work environment; assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding.
Whilst the primary purpose of this qualification is to prepare you for employment as a vocational Assessor in the education and training sector, progression opportunities to level 4 qualifications also exist including: VTCT Level 4 Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (QCF); VTCT Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (QCF); VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (QCF).
