Course description
Acting & Performing Skills for Budding Actors: You will learn how to develop specific acting techniques and explore vocal and movement skills, begin to interpret characters and perform in an acting role. You will also learn how to develop a role through rehearsal, take part in performances and be given the skills to continue to develop your ability further.
This course is designed for people that have an interest in acting and wish to develop this further. You will study texts and learn a variety of techniques incorporating voice, movement and imagination. These will deepen your understanding of what acting is, how you do it and how much fun it can be!
Each course ends with a short performance for friends
After finishing the course, you can choose to progress onto the Foundation Acting course or explore some of our short courses in drama

2. You will learn the basics of using your voice as an actor
3. You will learn the basics of improvisation both for performance and for working with texts.
4. You will learn the basics of creating �actions� for your character

Suitability - Who should attend?
This course is for beginners and those with some basic knowledge of acting. To benefit most from the course, you should be able to: � Listen and respond to instructions and feedback � Be happy to take part in class discussions and interact with other learners � Be able to read a script and/or related text (level 1/level 2 literacy skills = GCSE English) � Work within groups and in pairs safely and confidently
