Understanding assessment in education and training
There is also one practical Unit:
A 30 minute micro teach on a subject of your choice
In addition, you will be required to write a Reflective Learning Journal after each of the above Units to evaluate what you have learned and how it will impact on your practice.

Suitability - Who should attend?
You will be interviewed for the course by one of the tutors. If you have GCSE English at grade C or above then please bring your certificates to the interview. If you do not have GCSE English then you must undertake the screening in the Learning Centre prior to your interview and achieve a level 2. You will also be asked to write a 250 word essay outlining your reasons for teaching your chosen subject. Please bring this to the interview. In order to be considered for this course you should have: the potential to study at this level, which has the same intensity of demand as that of study for A-levels. subject knowledge, experience and qualifications (at least at Level 3) in the subject you wish to teach time to commit to at least 5 hours of study outside of the taught sessions
