What will I learn?
The Cyanotype workshop involves the process of contact printing with light-sensitive paper or fabric, using photographic negatives or making photograms of objects and other materials. This is ideal for experimentation as it easy to learn. This one-day introductory workshop will provide you with an overview of the cyanotype process; learn how to prepare your own light sensitive fabric and paper. Experiment with a number of alternatives of negatives to print with. Practise exposing and developing the paper or fabric to produce prints. You will learn how to make prints up to A4 in size on paper and fabric using a variety of interesting semi transparent materials, drawings, paper cut-outs, foliage and photographic images on transparent paper.
