Course description

Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools:

This qualification will enable learners to develop the knowledge and skills needed when supporting teaching and learning in primary, secondary or special schools. It covers a wide range of areas including children and young people’s development, supporting those with disabilities or special educational needs and communication and professional relationships.

It is also a must-have for all those undertaking the Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning Apprenticeship.

Who is it suitable for?

  • Anyone who is working in a role that supports pupils’ learning.

As well as providing an excellent knowledge base, this  Level 2 Certificate is ideal for:

  • Students who want to achieve a nationally recognized qualification
  • Those aspiring to achieve a career as a teaching assistant or working in a school or college setting
  • Learners who want to kickstart their knowledge and further their career

*Please note this course will initially be delivered remotely online and work placement assessment, will be undertaken once restrictions have been lifted by the Government.

Suitability - Who should attend?

You should be at least 16 years old. It would also be beneficial for students to have basic IT skills and be fluent in English Language. You will have to find a placement in a school minimum 8 hours a week.
