Level 3 Diploma - The Children And Young People’s Workforce
This Ofsted-recognised qualification is ideal for learners seeking the skills and knowledge needed for a career involving the care and education of young children, including childminding, nursery nurses, early years workers. Upon graduation, you’ll attain fully-qualified status in the sector, as well as a license and the right to practice as an Early Years Educator.
Childcare is a competitive industry, and employers increasingly look for job applicants holding nationally recognized qualifications. There is a strong demand for caring, skilled individuals to work with young children in a variety of settings, from playgroups and nurseries to schools.

The Early Years Educator qualification aims to:
- Provide an opportunity for learners to demonstrate their knowledge and skills of caring for children from birth to 5
- Provide learners with an extended knowledge of caring for children aged 5-7.
The objectives of this qualification are to:
Guide and assess the development of skills and knowledge for the early years workforce
Confirm competence for those working towards Early Years Educator status.

To successfully complete this course, you’ll have needed to achieve work placement time working with children aged 0-2, children aged 2-3, and children aged 3-5. This is because you need to demonstrate that you have and can work with children of all ages.
*Please note this course will initially be delivered remotely online and work placement assessment, will be undertaken once restrictions have been lifted by the Government.
