IBT Level 5 Diploma in Project Management
The Diploma in Project Management exposes project management methodology, toolsets and documentation, and the project life cycle including analysis, planning, design and evaluation. The program focuses on various useful project-planning tools, including risk analysis and management. It also examines the role of project manager and project team. Training Course Content
Unit1- Project Scope Management
This is a process that helps in defining and authenticating the list of all the project goals, tasks, deliverables, deadlines, and budgets as a part of the planning process. In project management, it is normal for a big project to have alterations and amendments along the way. This unit aims at making the learner understand the comprehensive portrayal of the work that must be done to deliver the output of a project on time and within the allocated budget.
Unit2- Principles of Project Management
This unit explains briefly what the various principles of project management are and how the project work should be carried out following these principles. On completion of this unit, learners will understand the fundamental rules that should be carried out for the effective running of the project.
Unit3- Project Procurement Management
Procurement is the process of collecting goods, supplies, and/or services. Hence, project procurement is obtaining all of the materials that are required to run a project. Project procurement management incorporates the processes used for making sure project procurement is successful. Learners will gather knowledge on effectively running and managing a project.
Unit4- Project Quality Management
This unit helps the learners to understand how effectively a project can be carried out while ensuring its quality. Ensuring quality is utmost important in any project as it erases the risk of failure product and unsatisfied clients. Learners will have knowledge about quality planning, quality assurance and quality control after completing this unit.
Unit5- Project Risk Management
Every project is accompanied with several types of risk from the beginning to the completion. This unit describes in detail the procedures, project managers use to minimize and manage any potential risk that arise and affect the project in any way. Since risks are unexpected it needs to identified, analyzed, confirmed and removed effectively. Proper planning needs to be carried out in each and every step. Learners will gather knowledge on all the areas.
Unit6- Managing People
Managing people at work is the most challenging task ever. Number of people from different background works in an organisation. Treating everyone equally without hurting anybody’s feeling is very difficult. People management comprises of three major steps from acquiring talented people, optimizing them and finally retaining the talent along with constant support for the business and guidance to existing employees. The unit gives an idea of how a manager should be, his roles and duties, etc.
Unit7- Project Planning
Detailed planning is done before beginning the project. Planning helps to understand the project better, thereby minimizing the risks and optimizing profit. Learners will be able to understand the various steps involved in planning a project.
Unit8- Project Monitoring and Control
Project Monitoring and control is usually done to provide an understanding on the progress of a project which helps to notify if there are deviations from the original plan and any corrective measures needs to be taken.
