Access to Higher Education - Social Sciences: An Access to Higher Education course is excellent for adults who wish to change career, study at degree level or improve job prospects by gaining a Level 3 is nationally recognised qualification is an alternative to the A-Level route of getting in to university. It is designed for mature students who don�t currently have the necessary academic qualifications for this level of study. It helps develop confidence & study methods, and the flexible style of study is ideally suited to adults leading busy lives. To make your college experience as positive and enjoyable as possible, we are always on hand to provide support & encouragement, so that you achieve your ambitions and enjoy success on your will need:� To be aged 19 or over.� A minimum of English & maths GCSE at a grade 4 (C) or above, or Functional Skills Level 2 Literacy & Numeracy.� A determination to make a change, excellent attendance, complete your work to a high standard & be willing to study further at home, alongside college attendance.� To study full-time for one year starting in September, for 3 days a study Level 3 modules in Sociology, Education Studies & is course can lead to university study in Social Work, Youth & Community Development, Health & Social Welfare, Counselling and Psychology in community settings, Childhood and Youth Studies, Psychology, Sociology and Fact: A Social Worker�s salary in NHS ranges from �26,565 to �35,577.If you are 19-23 and studying your first Level 3 course, you may be eligible for full funding. If you are not eligible and are aged 19+, you can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan by visiting You may be able to get financial support from the Learner Support Fund for help with course materials, equipment, travel costs and childcare costs.
