Course description
What will I learn?
On this challenging and exciting course, the focus is on graphic design, photography and moving image. Work on multimedia design projects to develop your practical skills in a variety of areas. These include: graphic design, typography, web design, photography and image manipulation, video production and 2D animation. You will undertake research and written work relating to media theory. You develop your abilities with industry standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite 6 (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator and Premier). In addition, you gain vital experience of working to a professional brief with employers.

What do I need to know?
• 4 GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, including English & maths. If you do not have grade 4 (C) or above in both subjects the minimum for the other subject is grade 3 (D).orA full Level 2 at Pass grade or above with maths & English grades equivalent to those stated above.* *Students with grade 3 (D) in either English or maths will be expected to re-take that subject in Year 1.• Demonstrate creative flair at your interview and be highly motivated with a keen interest in graphic design, photography and/or moving image.• Attend a ‘taster’ session to find out more.
