What will I learn?
This course is ideal for those who wish to develop the basic skills to work as a gardener, whether you are looking for a career change or a new interest. Learn about plant identification, propagation & maintenance and gain basic practical horticultural skills such as planting out and pruning skills. Gain the confidence to use tools and machinery correctly. Assessment is through practical observation and a student portfolio. On successful completion of this course, you may wish to progress on to the Level 2 Diploma.Admission is by a short, informal discussion - please phone to register your interest.
