Course description
Sports Turf Operative Level 2 Diploma Apprenticeship: You will be responsible for the maintenance, renovation and appearance of sports turf surfaces. Depending on your employer, you could be working across a range of sports such as athletics, bowls, cricket, football and horse racing, ranging from general park type sports surfaces to first class stadiums. You will learn how to identify and use the correct materials, tools & equipment forgroundskeeping. You will also learn how to monitor & report findings, environmental and health & safety law and regulations, as well as developing an understanding of different types of surface and how to reduce environmental impacts. At the end of your apprenticeship, you will need to pass the End Point Assessment. This involves the completion of a portfolio of evidence, a series of practical assessment tests and a professionaldiscussion.
