Course description
Supporting Teaching & Learning Level 3 Diploma: This is a recognised qualification for people who work with or want to work with school age children. You attend College for four and a half hours a week for between 30-39 weeks. It covers the skills required by a Teaching Assistant and you study topics including supporting learning activities, supporting assessment for learning plus equality, diversity & inclusion. It will improve your employment prospects and enable you to work in education settings with children and young people from year 1 is course starts on the following dates: 12/09/19, 07/11/19, 09/01/20, 27/02/20, 23/04/20 and 04/06/20.Entry requirements:You must be 18 or over, and if you do not have a Level 2 qualification in maths & English prior to the start of the course, you need to pass an initial assessment to confirm your academic ability. You need to have basic ICT skills to complete the electronic portfolio. If your ICT skills are weak, please let us know and we can provide support with this. You need to have at least one year�s current experience working with children and/or have an existing relevant Level 2 qualification. As you will be assessed in the workplace, you are expected to remain in the same childcare setting (on a voluntary/paid basis) for a minimum of 14 hours per week, for the length of the course. We will obtain a reference from your employer prior to you starting the may wish to progress on to the Leadership for Children�s Care, Learning & Development Level 5 Diploma.Admission is by a short, informal discussion - please phone to register your interest.
