Course description
The Health Conscious Kitchen: In 1826, physiologist Savarin stated that �we are what we eat� and for many of us, wellbeing comes from within. On this ten week course, we will explore the health benefits of specific foods, plan, prepare & produce healthy dishes and learn to adapt traditional recipes to make them healthier. We will look at food labelling & how to make the right choices when doing your weekly food shop, give hints & tips on cooking techniques to reduce fat, salt & sugar content in our daily diet and familiarise ourselves with official recommendations for ahealthy diet using the Eat Well Guide. Get your New Year off to a healthy, happy start and join us in the Health Conscious Kitchen!You will need to provide your own ingredients every week, (please expect to spend an average of �5 per week) and a container to take your meals home. For the first week only, just bring a container as the ingredients will be provided.Discounts are available for multiple bookings of this course.
