Understanding the Principles of Assessment (Knowledge Unit) Level 3: This course is suitable if you want to take the first steps in to assessing or teaching or are a qualified teacher wanting a qualification to be able to assess in your vocational area. It can be helpful for teachers in schools who deliver vocational qualifications with applied e Assessors qualifications start with this Knowledge Unit. You need a full Level 3 in your chosen vocational area and to be over 19 years old. As this course requires a good level of English, you take an assessment during the first class to confirm your place.During your course, you complete assignments (which must be word processed) and gain an understanding of the principles & practices of assessment without any requirement to practice as an assessor. Upon completion of this qualification, you may wish to progress on to the Assessing Vocational Achievement Level 3 Certificate.Please note, you will attend seven sessions in College on alternate weeks during term time.
