Course description
Essential Japanese 2 is a semi-intensive 1-week course of 10 hours aimed at those who have taken Essential Japanese 1, or those who can already use very basic, everyday spoken Japanese and wish to improve their language skills.
The aim of the course is to provide an introduction to contemporary Japanese to those who have a very basic undestanding of it (See Essential Japanese 1). By the end of the course, students will have acquired an essential working vocabulary and the grammatical structures that enable them to communicate within a limited range of situations. The cultural context underlying the use of Japanese is explored so that learners will have an appreciation and an awareness of appropriate language use.
The course is taught in small groups with a maximum of fifteen students per group.
The course is taught in Japanese and English. Class size is limited to fifteen to allow for close intensive interactive practice.
Duration: 1 week, 10 hours, 23rd - 27th July
Mode of Attendance: 18:00-20:00 Monday to Friday
