Course description
This course will introduce you to the artistic medium of photography. You will study a range of photographic techniques, materials and processes, developing your skills and answering those questions you have always had about photography. The course is designed for anyone who wishes to learn more about their cameras and how to take your photography to the next level.
The first course will focus on the basic elements of photography, understanding your camera, using alternative applications and using simple but effective tricks to get the best shots possible. The second source will focus on taking the basics from the first course and applying them to other areas, developing your skills further and using more of the complex equipment to achieve the photographs you have always wanted.
At the end of the course, you will join the other students in a review session, looking at the work you have created on the course and in your own time. These photos will be reviewed and the strongest selected to be used as your final piece. This course is designed to improve your understanding of photography and using your photographic equipment to the fullest. Once you have completed the Introduction course, you can then move on to the Improvers course, which will go into further detail and explore other applications for your photography skills.
