Level 3 Dental Nurse Apprenticeship - Apprenticeships
Dental nurses play an integral role in the comfort and success of a patient's time in the dentist's chair. If you like the idea of providing chairside support for dental professionals in a wide range of scenarios, then this course is for you.
Learn how to prepare instruments, materials and medicaments for dental procedures, mix materials, sterilise instruments, keep records, note dictation, carry out stock control and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout their visit.
Whether you're working in an NHS general dental practice, hospital, private dental practice, specialist dental practice, community dental service or military dental clinic and supporting a dentist, dental hygienist, dental therapist, clinical dental technician or orthodontic therapist, prepare for a fast-paced job where no two days are the same.
Suitability - Who should attend?
What do you need to apply?
If you haven't achieved Level 2 English and Maths, you will need to achieve this before taking the final assessment.
If you have an education, health and care plan or legacy statement, the minimum requirement for English and Maths is Level 3.
If your primary language is British Sign Language (BSL), a BSL qualification is equivalent to an English qualification.

Where can this course take you?
Successful completion of this apprenticeship results in a Level 3 qualification, approved by the General Dental Council and allows you to enter the professional registry as a dental nurse.
