Course description
Introduction
This course has been designed for practicing Aesthetic Therapists, comprising of six units three of which are practical in Skin Peel, Skin Needling and Blemish Removal. The course is one day a week for 16 weeks and exams are taken once case studies have been completed.
Unit 1 - Principles and practice of non-medical aesthetic therapies Unit 2 - Advanced consultation for non-medical aesthetic therapies Unit 3 - Advanced skin care for non-medical aesthetic therapies Unit 4 - Provide cosmetic skin needling treatments Unit 5 - Provide cosmetic Skin peel treatments Unit 6 - Provide cosmetic Blemish removal treatments
Students should set aside 1 day a week for training and at least 6 hours a week for assignment work, homework and studies. All case studies must be carried out either in the workplace or in the on-site Viteology Spa in STC.
Cosmesutical training is part of the course. You will train with at least three Aesthetic cosmetic companies. These are certificated.
Assessment
Homework, Assignments and case studies are mandatory, as are the end of year international exams with ITEC. To be successful all aspects of the course must be deemed at least a pass although a Merit and Distinction can be awarded.
Next Steps
Successful students will gain their certificates in the three practical subjects as well as the mandatory skin science units. The next step will be to embark on the soon to be released level 5 in Aesthetic Practices.

Expenses
Applicants must have a Level 3 Beauty Therapy qualification either NVQ or VRQ with Epilation. Applicants must already work in an Aesthetics clinic and have at least 3 years experience.
