Course description
Our baking courses will teach you professional skills in cake, bread, pastry making that will prepare you well to set up your own business or for progression to further study on our accredited hospitality and catering courses.
Introduction
Learn how to bake different delicious savoury and sweet recipes on this course. You'll cover a selection of recipes that you can practise and perfect at home.
You'll learn a variety of methods to produce perfect baked food. This might include:
Baking bread, loaves and cakes
Using fresh cream, patisserie cream and buttercream
Trying your hand at more challenging pastries such as French tart, chocolate eclair, profiteroles, and baked cheesecake
Accurately measuring using imperial, metric and American cup.
Assessment
Your teacher will give you feedback and advice. You'll work with your classmates to evaluate each other's work. You'll also complete an individual learning plan.
