Course description
Introduction
This course introduces simple programming in the visual basic programming language (macros) to automate your Excel spreadsheets. It is aimed at people who have completed the Excel Intermediate course (or equivalent) and have no programming experience.
By the end of the course you'll be able to: Enable your Excel spreadsheets run visual basic macros Write a simple visual basic macro to make changes to your Excel spreadsheet, for example o Change the data in your spreadsheet o Use dialogue boxes to interact with the user
Assessment
Your tutor will provide a booklet with explanations and exercises for you to complete in class and take away. There will be a blend of computer-based exercises, theory, discussions, group and pair work. You are invited to ask questions at any time.
