Course description
Introduction
This course will introduce you to the field of psychology. You'll learn the strategies used to uncover the hidden motives behind behaviour, thought and interactions. You'll use psychological theories to look at mental illness, attraction, relationships, stress management and children's behaviour.
The course covers:
An overview of the methods psychologists use to explain different behaviours
The different ways psychologists collect behavioural information
How you can apply this knowledge to your own personal or professional development.
Assessment
This will be done via teacher feedback, individual learning plans, student and peer self-assessment, sharing of work in groups and partner work.
