St. John AmbulanceSt John Ambulance - First Aid and Health & Safety Training that Saves Lives

As the UK's leading first aid charity, St John Ambulance’s aim is to teach as many people first aid as possible so that no one suffers for the lack of a trained first aider.

With this in mind, they train as many as 800,000 people a year, including over 260,000 people on workplace courses, to help them be the difference between a life lost and a life saved.

First Aid, Fire Safety and Health and Safety Courses

St John Ambulance has expanded their portfolio of training over the years to encompass a range of first aid and health and safety courses. Trainers come from a wide variety of first aid and health and safety backgrounds, enabling them to bring real-life experience and expertise to their training.

As well as being a market leader in first aid training, St John Ambulance is now the leading face-to-face provider of IOSH qualifications making them a trusted name in health and safety training. They’re also an approved training provider by the Institution of Fire Engineers so you can trust that their fire safety training is the very best.

Their offering now includes:

  • First aid
  • Fire safety
  • Health & safety basics
  • Risk assessment
  • Moving and handling
  • Display Screen Equipment risk assessment
  • IOSH courses.

More courses and more training centres than any other provider

St John Ambulance has over 260 training venues across the country, which means that the right course is never far away. Extra locations are continually added and with over 27,500 courses run every year St John Ambulance offers convenience on your doorstep.

Tailored group training delivered on your premises

If you are a business, school or any organisation with a group requiring the same training, St John Ambulance can come to you and deliver the necessary course on-site. This offers a number of benefits, including competitive pricing, offering significant savings for your organisation, and a reduction in travel costs and time for your staff.

More importantly, however, tailored training on your premises allows employees to learn new skills in the environment where they’ll be put into practice, which can often serve to enhance the learning experience and ensure they are able to get the most out of the first aid or health & safety programme chosen. Talk with St John Ambulance about tailoring a course to suit your specific risks and needs.

Why choose to train with St John Ambulance?

St John Ambulance ensures that every student gets the best possible experience from their training, operating a 12:1 student/trainer ratio, meaning every student gets plenty of guidance and can be appropriately assessed. Courses are highly practical and every student is allowed ample time to practise practical elements; for example St John Ambulance provides 1 resuscitation manikin per 2 students to ensure everyone is able to easily access equipment.

Students are provided with course packs to take away with them after the course and St John Ambulance offers a post-course support programme with first aid updates and tips, certificate expiry reminders and expert advice whenever you need it.

Plus, you’ll be supporting the nation’s leading first aid charity

As a charity, St John Ambulance’s workplace training is not-for-profit and all money generated is used to further its charitable aims. Last year this enabled the charity to provide volunteer first aid cover at around 35,000 events giving first aid care to over 90,000 people; train more than 140,000 young people in first aid through their schools and youth programmes; and provide 670,000 free first aid guides to members of the public. The benefits of training with St John Ambulance go way beyond your business!
