Business Management-Marketing for Small Business


The course will provide an overview of marketing tools and activities to help you support your business or event. You will be given essential information on how to set up a marketing plan ensuring you reach a wide audience for your business or event. You will also learn how to adapt your plans based on the size of event e.g. gig, exhibition, fete or small business.

Understand different elements of marketing strategy
Identify your market
Selecting marketing channels
Find which marketing options best fit your idea
Prepare a marketing plan
State the importance of measuring your results

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?
The course is suitable for anyone who is thinking of running a small business or an event or someone who is considering becoming self-employed. No prior knowledge is required although a general interest in marketing would be advantageous.

As our courses are taught in English, please contact us if you have any concerns about your level of English. Learners should have basic computer skills and access to a computer outside the classroom.

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?
Learners will need to bring their own note book and writing materials (e.g. pen, pencil) plus learners are welcome to bring their own laptop, iPad or digital device for note taking and research. Access to a smart phone would also be helpful but not necessary.
