The course will enable you to work closely with the techniques of watercolour through the use of sketchbook, photographs, found images or direct observation.
What will we cover?
You will learn various techniques using watercolour in different ways. .
Understand the basics of tonal values and mixing colours
Practise how to handle brushes, create a wash and more
Gain confidence in using materials and be encouraged to take part in group discussions
Have access to one to one support
The overall aim is to help you develop personal expression through a mixture of practise, discussion and demonstration techniques.
Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?
Those with some experience of painting would be an advantage. Useful for those who need a refresher as well as those with a little experience.
Some drawing skills would be helpful.
As our courses are taught in English, please contact us if you have any concerns about your level of English.
What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?
Bring whatever watercolour materials you may already have purchased or a basic set of watercolours including watercolour paper (Rough 300gms), brushes, paints, palette and pencils.

What can I do when I finish the course?
To progress on to other art courses, join art groups, societies or to develop further within the same class, meet like minded people and make friends
Learners are expected to bring their own materials. Some less common or unusual materials may be brought by the tutor
