AutoCAD & AutoCAD LT Essentials
AutoCAD Full and AutoCAD LT Essentials is a foundation level hands-on training which is designed for new users with no or little experience of using CAD software. In order to attend no previous CAD experience is required but any traditional manual design understating and or drawing experience would be an advantage. It is expected that delegate must have some experience of using computers in Windows environment.
The main objective of this course is to teach users the basic commands and features of AutoCAD software which are necessary to produce 2D drawing and design layout in AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT environment. After this course users can attend AutoCAD advanced course to learn advanced techniques to become proficient professional user of the AutoCAD software.

This course is suitable for both AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT new users and existing AEC Design Professionals, Engineers and Architects of all discilines willing to become professional user.
It is expected that delegates have some experience of using computers in Windows environment and some technical understating of drawings or with design work.
Training content
In this course you will learn the use of 2D commands, basic features and techniques for creating, editing, dimensioning, annotating and printing accurate AutoCAD drawings efficiently using hands-on basic exercises.
This course covers the essential core topics for working with the AutoCAD software. The teaching strategy is to start with a few basic tools that enable the student to create and edit a simple drawing, and then continue to develop those tools. More advanced tools are also introduced throughout the training guide. Not every command or option is covered, because the intent is to show the most essential tools and concepts, such as:
- Understanding the AutoCAD workspace and user interface
- Using basic drawing, editing, and viewing tools
- Organizing drawing objects on layers
- Inserting reusable symbols (blocks)
- Preparing a layout to be plotted
- Adding text, hatching, and dimensions

Good course. Would be useful for me to work a little on Ordnance Survey bases, open street maps etc.
