Course description
Designed specifically for anyone who wants to fly the skies in an air cabin crew role, this Level 2 Diploma will help prepare you for a career in this industry, giving you the broad range of knowledge, skills and expertise you’ll need for this demanding role.
As a member of the cabin crew, you will of course focus on how to make passengers feel comfortably on a plane and how to complete a range of regular service duties during each flight. But you’ll also be introduced to the diverse nature of the role and learn all about the cabin crew tasks that you don’t normally see.
You’ll be taught by a highly experienced team of staff that includes many ex-cabin crew, with hands-on, sector-specific knowledge of the industry. You’ll learn all about airline emergency procedures and health, safety and security policies, as well as focusing on the terminology you’ll need to know to be successful, including phonetics, international time, aircraft types, and airport abbreviations.
We are also proud to be an official member of the Institute of Travel and Tourism.
You’ll be assessed throughout the whole year-long course using a range of methods, including presentations, written coursework, controlled assignments and role plays, practical demonstrations and observed workshops.
You may also be required to tread water and take part in emergency evacuation drills in line with airline training protocol. A part of the course also involves completing work experience and taking part in extra-curricular activities like volunteering, which can include evenings and weekends.
