Course description
New for 2018-19 Workshops happening in London & Manchester
Since September 2015, if you want to gain a qualification that is recognised by Ofsted as allowing you work in the early years sector in England and be counted in the ratios it must have ‘Early Years Educator’ (EYE) in the title. We have combined the level 3 EYE diploma awarded by Innovate Awarding with our own to be able offer a qualification that does exactly that: The Level 3 Montessori Partnership Diploma in Montessori Classroom Practice incorporating Innovate Awarding Level 3 Diploma in Early Learning and Childcare (Early Years Educator) to give it its full title.
Structure
The course of study leading to this qualification is a combination of knowledge-based and workplace-based assignments, supported by direct observation of your practice by your assessor in your setting. You can start at any time and progress at your own pace, and you’ll find that all the course materials have been very carefully organised to be logical and easy to use. For many students, courses that are web-based are cumbersome and confusing, so we have opted to stick with our tried and tested e-mail based system.
Early Years Educator
The EYE part of the course is concerned with all the regulatory aspects of working in the early years, and this part of the qualification is the diploma awarded by Innovate Awarding. You don't have to deal with them though, because we are responsible for all the communications and arrangements regarding this part of the course.
Montessori Classroom Practice
The Montessori part of the course gives a basic introduction to the Montessori theory that underpins classroom practice and gives you comprehensive but intensive training on working with the Montessori materials. This part of the course is covered in 10 full days of workshops.
