Course description
Construction is a broad industry that spans architecture, engineering, services and the trades. R&D tax relief claims for construction companies have attracted a lot of attention from HMRC, so it’s important to get them right.
In this course, you'll learn about the types of Construction projects which may qualify for R&D Tax Relief. We break down ‘Construction’ into areas of specialism. For each one, we look at:
- the types of companies involved
- the kinds of work they can claim R&D tax relief for for
- trends in technology across the sector
- examples of work that doesn’t qualify for R&D tax relief.
We also explain HMRC’s attitude to Construction claims, and highlight red flags to watch out for.

Looks of good ways to frame R&D knowledge and share it with others in bite sized and relatable ways.
