Course description
This course includes four units for which you will sit an exam at the end of each unit, plus two further units where you will have to sit a Synoptic assessment that includes elements of the four units already studied, PLUS you will be tested on knowledge of Spreadsheet Software and Professional Ethics.
This package covers:-
Indirect Tax (IDRX)
This unit covers the treatment of VAT, VAT thresholds, when to register for VAT, how to complete a VAT return and all you need to know about VAT for the small to medium business
Advanced Bookkeeping (AVBK)
This unit follows on from trial balance stage at level 2. You will learn how to prepare accounts from partial information, correction of errors and how to produce an Extended Trial Balance in preparation of preparing financial statements.
Final Accounts Preparation (FAPR)
You will learn how to prepare financial accounts (statement of profit and loss and statement of financial position) for sole traders and partnerships.
Management Accounting: Costing (MMAC)
This unit covers the different elements of costs and how to create and use data for decision making.
Synoptic Assessment
The Synoptic assessment tests everything you have learned so far plus:
- Spreadsheet Software and
- Professional Ethics
You will also sit this assessment at an exam centre.
As with the other units you will be supplied study materials for Spreadsheet Software and Professional Ethics and have access to assignments, mock exams and tutor support.
Exams are to be taken at an AAT approved exam venue.
