Course description

Bricklaying Intermediate Apprenticeship:

The construction sector is vital in contributing to the national economy and in providing the essential infrastructure to support other sectors. In light of the current economic climate it is more essential than ever to gain skills and qualifications in this area, to improve future prospects and job progression. The role of the bricklayer is to construct the first shell of a building, whether it is a house, a school, a bridge or any other construction. They work inside and outside of properties building and repairing walls as well as specialist brickwork such as chimneys and fireplaces.

Suitability - Who should attend?

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. Applicants must be employed in the bricklaying industry as an apprentice and attend a successful interview with the Programme Team Leader. A keen interest in the subject area is also required.
