If you’ve got your eyes on a management role in the construction industry this course is for you. Get hands on in the workshops and build the theoretical foundations to fast-track you into the industry.
This course is delivered at our Hemel Hempstead campus.
What will I study?
The course is largely made up of theory classes, but you’ll have the chance to develop your practical skills too. Modules could include:
- Sustainable construction
- Construction technology and design
- Science and materials in construction
- Project management
- Measuring, estimating and tendering processes
- ICT for construction
- Conversion and adaptation of buildings
- Structural behaviour
What can I do next?
Successful students may be ready to find employment, with apprenticeship options also available. You will also be able to progress to an HND or degree programme to continue your study. Likely careers include project management, building surveying, architect, site management and civil engineer.
Suitability - Who should attend?
4 GCSEs (A*-C/9-4), including English or maths or completion of a relevant Level 2 diploma, with English and maths.
